Los Angeles-based artist Chris Velez creates fluid, multimedia works that explore the intersections of myth, world-building, human consciousness, and the dynamic relationships between humans, objects, and the nonhuman world. Blurring the boundaries between nature and technology, his projects unfold through sculpture, installation, digital art, video, sound, and kinetic elements. Drawing from religion, sci-fi, non-Western spirituality, psychedelia, and the uncanny, Velez crafts immersive experiences that challenge perceptions of reality and reveal the interconnectedness shaping our evolving world.

Chris Velez holds a MFA from UCLA in New Genres. His work has been exhibited at UCLA's New Wight Gallery, Sade Gallery, Spy Projects, Xela Institute of Art and Good Mother Gallery.
